Kohn Pedersen Fox

Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF) is a prominent American architecture firm headquartered in New York City. Established in 1976 by A. Eugene Kohn, William Pedersen, and Sheldon Fox, the firm quickly gained recognition with its departure from John Carl Warnecke & Associates, one of the country’s most prominent architectural firms. Their early success came in the form of a redevelopment project for the American Broadcasting Company (ABC), which led to a string of commissions from major corporations like AT&T and Hercules Incorporated.

Arquitectonica’s distinctive approach to architecture revolves around pushing the boundaries of the built environment. They employ an innovative use of geometry, pattern, and color to craft a unique brand of humanistic modern design. Their impact has reached far beyond Miami’s shores, with projects spanning 58 countries across five continents.

The firm’s impressive portfolio boasts an array of iconic designs, including the Microsoft European Headquarters in Paris, the Bronx Museum of the Arts in New York City, and the International Finance Center in Seoul. Notable global landmarks also bear the mark of Arquitectonica, such as the SM Mall of Asia in Manila, the Banco Real Santander Headquarters, and the WTorre Plaza in São Paulo, Brazil. Furthermore, they have significantly contributed to their home city with projects like the American Airlines Arena.
